God Will Walk with You Alone
About
Following God's will requires balancing personal responsibilities with a willingness to surrender our own plans. True service means dying to fleshly motivations and accepting whatever role God assigns, even when it involves humble tasks. When we stop trying to control outcomes, we make space to rely on prayer and the Holy Spirit for direction.
Life's daily distractions and financial pressures often tempt us to postpone our true calling.
In this sermon, Alan talks about the danger of using religion to justify personal ambitions or blaming leaders when expectations are not met. He shares stories from his own ministry, including training young people in humility and learning that external persuasion does not produce lasting spiritual change.
Alan explains how understanding our unconditional value as children of God transforms our motivation for ministry. We no longer serve to earn God's acceptance, but out of a deep response to His love. He addresses how practical reasoning and personal control can divert us from inconvenient, faith-filled decisions. Drawing from Romans 8, he emphasizes establishing God's will in the inner man through prayer in tongues. Like the Israelites following the cloud and fire, or Joshua and Caleb facing giants, believers are called to trust God's presence through every impossible challenge without comparing their path to others.
